Course Info

  • These are the required security officer training class that must be competed in order to work legally as an unarmed & armed security officer in Texas.
  • Upon the successful completion of the Level II course, a Certificate of Completion will be provided to each Student. The Certificate will allow Students to submit the proper State application forms and begin working as a security officer. The Level II license can only be issued by the State through the employer.
  • Upon completion of the Level III course and submission of application, the State of Texas will issue the armed security officer license within four weeks.
  • Students that obtain their Level III License must complete a 8 hour renewal course within a two year period, from the date of licensing, to maintain their license in good standing with the State.
  • Students are responsible for a $25.00 gun range fee that includes the range access, training weapon, ammunition & targets.
  • This is the required personal protection officer class that provides the bodyguard training necessary to work legally as a licensed personal protection officer in Texas.
  • Students that obtain their Level IV License must complete a 8 hour renewal course within a two year period, from the date of licensing, to maintain their license in good standing with the State.

State Requirements

  • The State of Texas mandates that applicants for Level II security licenses must be at least 18 years of age, 21 for Level III and Level IV, have no disqualifying criminal history, and be legally allowed to work in the United States.
  • A Licensing Fee must be paid directly to the state of Texas. This fee is not included in the course price.
  • Students must complete the Level I, Level II and Level III courses in order to receive the Level IV personal protection officer license.
