Pennsylvania has a history of housing great industries, from the legendary steel, coal, and chocolate industries to the current booming finance and banking companies. Security is no different. In a great state like Pennsylvania, where many industries rise and fall, the need for security is a constant. The proper security guard training can provide you with a multitude of options in a career that is always in demand. In Pennsylvania, a security guard license is required and the process can be very intricate. Each applicant or security company must petition the Pennsylvania County Court for a specific Pennsylvania security guard license.
Several basic requirements to file the petition for security guards include:
– Two Valid Identification photos (passport/driver’s license)
– Letters from character witnesses regarding good moral character.
– Submit to a criminal background check (certified proof required).
– Submit to fingerprinting (submit your fingerprint card to the County Clerk’s office with a money order to the Pennsylvania State Police).
As in many other states, you must be at least 18 years old, be a US citizen, and have no previous felonies or alcohol/drug abuse on your record. The judge that presides over the petition will ultimately decide what kind of training will be required of you. Luckily, our courses include the industry standard in all sorts of security guard training courses. We can help build the best curriculum to suit your needs.
